Leeb Impact Hardness Tester

Part#: SHPMHT134
Supplier: Shimana
Calibration Certificate: available on request

Designed to test the hardness of different parts The Shimana SHPMHT134 provides a professional and resilient solution to test the hardness at any angle (360°). The SHPMHT134 combines fast test response with internal memory and wireless printing feature (wireless IR printer included). It indicates the test values with great accuracy and easily convert to most popular hardness scales such as Rockwell (B & C), Vickers (HV), Brinell (HB), Shore (HSD), Leeb (HL) and Tensile, strength (MPa.

The SHIMANA Leeb Impact Hardness Tester (model SHPMHT134) is full of features that help you take hardness measurements fast and precise.  SHIMANA SHPMHT134 lets you take the measurements based on simple principle: An impact body with a hard metal test tip is propelled by spring force against the surface of the test piece. Surface deformation takes place when the impact body hits the test surface, which will result in loss of kinetic energy. This energy loss is calculated by velocity measurements when the impact body is at a precise distance from the surface for both the impact and rebound phase of the test.

The SHPMHT134 can be used with any particular material group (i.e. steel, aluminum, etc.). The conversions to other scales (HRC, HRB, HB, HV, HSD etc.) are programmed into the electronics, and can be shown directly on the display as the test result. All data is stored in the native L scale to prevent any possible errors with multiple conversions.
